Discover bats

BatBats are amazing creatures, and London is home to many different kinds. You may never have noticed bats in your neighbourhood, but they are almost certainly there. Some of London’s best sites for bats include the London Wetland Centre and Bushy Park in Richmond, Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens in Westminster and Shooters Hill woodlands in Greenwich. The London Bat Group has a list of other bat watching sites.

You could get a bat detector from the Bat Conservation Trust’s Bat Bazaar and listen out for yourself, or go on a summer bat walk led by the London Bat Group. A calendar of these are on both their website and our events pages.
